The “Kulakkaya Climate Summit” was held in Kulakkaya Plateau, one of Giresun’s most prominent tourism destinations. The summit began with a tree-planting ceremony and continued with a ribbon-cutting event followed by opening speeches. Jointly organized by Bahçeşehir University and the United Nations, the summit addressed solutions to global climate issues and explored topics related to agriculture in Turkey.

During the event, Nikhil Seth, United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), delivered a speech emphasizing Turkey’s exemplary efforts among global nations in combating climate change.

Keynote speeches were also given by prominent figures, including Giresun Mayor Aytekin Şenlikoğlu, Ordu Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler, Giresun Governor Enver Ünlü, AK Party Deputy Chairman Nurettin Canikli, BAU Global Chairman Enver Yücel, and Dr. Ayşegül Selışık, Deputy Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) for Turkey and the Subregional Office for Central Asia.
